JOB: Director of Client Services

ACM Strategies is an award-winning team that specializes in turning people into activists. The Director of Client Services is responsible for ensuring the success of our clients, which include organizations that do world-changing things like fight for safe workplaces, combat disinformation, advance voting rights, work to make green energy more equitable, push for a pathway to citizenship for undocumented Americans, expose the funders of right-wing extremism, and change the narrative about economic policy. 

 

The Director of Client Services is responsible for:

  • Managing digital strategy projects from kickoff to completion

  • Managing a team of 3-5 direct reports including delegating work assignments, setting clear expectations, conducting weekly 1-on-1s, and giving feedback

  • Growing and sustaining client relationships. Our clients know us for our superior service, and you’ll lead our team to communicate effectively, anticipate needs, and surpass goals.

  • Collaborating with ACM Strategies’ President to grow the firm by pursuing leads, writing proposals, and giving presentations to prospective clients

  • Leading weekly check-in calls with clients and supervising the delivery of monthly reports

  • Providing data-driven insights and creative recommendations to maximize the impact of our clients’ movement building, fundraising, and electoral campaigns

 

Success in this position looks like:

  • Serving as one of the faces of ACM Strategies, representing the firm well in interactions with clients, as well as at conferences, on panels, and elsewhere in progressive advocacy and political spaces

  • Facilitating the retention, success, growth, and professional development of ACM Strategies’ Client Services team

  • Supporting clients to build and advance movements through digital strategy

  • Developing and implementing innovative digital strategies on deadline, within budget, and without errors

  • Proactively searching for opportunities to use new technologies, tools, and tactics to communicate with people

WORKING AT ACM STRATEGIES

The Director of Client Services is a full-time, permanent job that can be done remotely from anywhere in the United States. The Director of Client Services reports to and works closely with ACM Strategies’ President Alesa Mackool. This is a commission-eligible role, and candidates should be prepared to sign an exclusivity agreement.

 

Our team is fully remote and located across the United States in several time zones. We typically work standard 9 AM to 5 PM business hours (based on location), but team members work a flex schedule during peak times and when rapid-response work is required, such as during the weeks leading up to a major election. Occasional travel within the U.S. will be required.

REQUIREMENTS

Your experience:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including experience with a firm or agency

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver digital projects on time and without errors

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow relationships

  • Experience managing people, including giving actionable feedback

  • Digital advertising experience

  • Experience using a wide range of digital tools and technology including Action Network, ActBlue, EveryAction, Mobile Commons, WordPress, Canva, Sprout Social, iMovie, Copper, and/or similar tools

 

Your ability:

  • A solid understanding of the progressive movement and a commitment to building a more just and equitable world

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent people skills and cultural competence

  • Extraordinary attention to detail, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and brand styles

  • Strong project and time management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems independently, effectively, and creatively

  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure

  • Comfort working remotely with a team across several different time zones, using tools such as Slack, Asana, Zoom, and Google Docs

We hope you bring one or more of these bonus skills:

  • Fluency or proficiency in Spanish

  • Experience working with political campaigns

  • An eye for good design

  • Experience working with a small team, where responsibilities may change quickly

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
