A new deadline for Facebook ads
Heads up for anyone running Facebook ads about social issues, elections, or politics: To prevent your ads from being paused, at least one of your Page admins must verify their identity to Facebook by February 8, 2020.
Here's more from Facebook about this process, which involves providing a valid mailing address and uploading an ID.
However, because several advertisers have reported issues with the verification process, we recommend starting the process as early as possible to avoid any disruptions to your campaigns. For example, your verification request will be rejected if you have recently moved and your current mailing address is not listed on your ID (we know this from experience!). If that's the case, you will have to download a form, have it notarized by a notary public, and upload and submit the form to Facebook. Phew.
In the meantime, if you're looking for ways to get your social media content more reach without relying on Facebook ads, here are five free ways to do so.
